Emphasising a field-to-fork ethos, we source produce locally from Caithness and the broader Highland region, minimising food miles and ensuring guests enjoy high-quality seasonal ingredients.

Our hotel working practices and operations have been developed with sustainability in mind. We have a biomass heating system, which uses wood pellets produced in the Highlands from sustainable timber sources. This alternative to fossil fuels provides all the warmth and hot water we need, while significantly reducing our carbon emissions. We’ve also incorporated eco-friendly and energy-saving practices into our laundry and housekeeping policies.

We strive to reduce waste, reuse resources and recycle as much as we can, across all areas of the business. This includes the use of compostable and biodegradable packaging, and the recycling of cardboard, plastics, glass and metals.

To further promote sustainability, we now offer electric vehicle charging facilities, encouraging guests to opt for eco-friendly travel options.
